FREE; REGISTER WITH LAURIE BY APRIL 22! Maplewood Village (Bethesda) is pleased to invite you to a delightful presentation about local (fictional?) political action. Bob Levey, who wrote the POST column “Bob Levey’s Washington” for 23 years, will discuss his new novel, LARRY FELDER, CANDIDATE. It’s the story of a famous Washington newspaper columnist (Felder) who abandons journalism to run for Congress in Maryland’s Eighth District (Montgomery County). Larry’s path gets massively complicated by love, corruption, those pesky newspaper reporters and the unforeseen. But the good guys win in the end, and loyalty wins most of all. Here’s a great write up about the book and the author. www.washingtonpost.com/local/onetime-washington-post-columnist-bob-levey-has-a-new-novel-its-not-about-him-honest/2018/11/05/1fdf3c08-e105-11e8-8f5f-a55347f48762_story.html?fbclid=IwAR2A31WXYxQ4nwiR4jG_N0NVycsQ9sU1MSJPAb9dMYmaYyX99GhoZLgXT9M&utm_term=.7f14c6add80a There will be ample time for discussion of fictional and factual political developments. Diverse beverages and light desserts will be served.
